Cal Tech Shooting Knocks Off ENC

The Cal Tech men’s basketball team shot 53 percent from the field including 55 percent from three point range as they beat cross-country opponent Eastern Nazarene 87-53 Monday night in Pasadena, CA. The Lions shot just 32 percent from the field and only 10 percent from behind the arc in the Pacific coast loss.

Ryan Elmquist scored 28 points and Mike Edwards scored 26 to lead the Cal Tech offense while Todd Cramer contributed with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

For the Lions, junior Chima Ezeigbo led the team with 11 points and nine rebounds, falling just shy of a double double, while C.J. Gonzales scored ten points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 18 minutes of play. Point guard DeAngelo Alston scored 9 points to go along with his 3 assists while freshman John Flakes continued his outstanding play scoring 8 points while pulling down 7 rebounds.

The Lions will break for the Christmas Holiday before traveling to Connecticut College on January 4th.
