Freshman, John Flakes
Eastern Nazarene College freshman John Flakes scored a season and game high 25 points and dominated the glass grabbing 11 rebounds while blocking 3 shots in the Lions’ 90-80 win over Endicott College in Saturday’s TCCC men’s basketball opener.
Eastern Nazarene grabbed the lead late in the first half and never looked back as the offense shot 53 percent in the Lions’ ten point victory over conference foe Endicott.
Backing up Flakes’ stellar performance was newcomer Max Barbosa who burned the Gulls’ defense and tallied 21 points of his own. Barbosa shined throughout as he dished out 6 assists and grabbed 8 rebounds in just his second game of the 2010-2011 season.
Senior point guard DeAngelo Alston scored a season high 19 points and had 4 assists while pulling in 4 rebounds in perhaps the Lions’ most dominating offense performance of the year.
